I had planned on writing about my experience of being a loveable nutcase today, but instead I’m posting a bit of a nothing post. My excuse is that it’s really hot (42 degrees at this very moment) and I’d rather be spending my lunch hour sitting on the steps in the pool, reading Blood and Gold (it’s a tough life, but someone has to do it.) I also made delicious soft tacos here for lunch and ate one too many of them, thus rendering me too full to do much more than float like a walrus in the leaf-littered backyard pool here at work. Bleh.
Firstly, I saw this awesome time-lapse linked from io9 today, and everyone knows how much I love me some epic time-lapse. Go, view!
I also had a post go up over at We Heart Life. I’ve been posting there once a week and plan to continue in that fashion. Go! See!
I’m off to Sydney to take in some dinner and adventures this evening, and then plan on having a lovely weekend seeing friends. Ha!
Are you completely sapped by this hideous weather? Got fun plans for the weekend? Let me know below!

I will be recovering from 5 days of gym… boxing, kick boxing and PT session. I think I like to put myself through this pain! Glad it’s cooling down for the weekend too.
Ha! I’ve had a big exercise week too! Monday kickboxing (are you doing generic or Muay Thai kickboxing?), my first Bikram yoga class on Tuesday, then Taekwondo on Thursday (I’m grading next month, woo, yellow belt!) I feel pretty good from it all, though.
I am very grateful for the cool change too. Too many hots.
Muay Thai. I’m pretty sure the instructor competes here in Aus, well he sure is good enough to. Trying to get back into it after about 10yrs (Holy hell it’s been ages!) and not feel like a complete Gumby is challenge enough, add rigorous cardio and punching/attack/defence combinations at 6:30am in the morning and it’s a recipe for disaster. But so far I’m picking it all back up again
Yeah I’m doing Mon & Wed = Kick boxing, Tue & Thur = boxing and Fridays are 1hr PT which is mostly strength/lifting work. I did my first dead lift today which was pretty awesome.
Woah, that is a crazy regime! Nice work!
Good luck with getting back into the MT, it’s totally worth it.
If I want to shift a total of 40kg, it’s going to have to be
12kg down, only 28kg to go!
